Software Settings
The most common applications that are used in the classroom are web browsers, PowerPoint, and Communication software. This section focuses on Zoom, although the same basic information can be applied to WebEx or MS Teams. In any application, the video and audio options are usually found in the SETTINGS. When attaching to a Crestron system in a classroom or lecture space, it is likely you want to audio output to be sent to the speakers in the room. In this tutorial, we will focus on the speaker setting in the virtual meeting applications. 


 


 


SIGN-IN
In the context of Zoom, WebEx or MS Teams it is important that the host of the remote meeting into the computer, as well as, the application. 




Zoom Audio Settings
A. Select the arrow near the "Audio" icon for audio device options.
B. Select the Crestron option for the "speaker." If a Crestron option appeared in the computer's system setting, then a Crestron option should appear in the application settings. 

C. Run a test of the speaker and microphone to confirm that the hardware is working as planned.



 

WebEx Audio Settings
A. Select the settings link represented by the cog icon.

B. Select the video or audio settings. 
C. Select the "speaker" to activate the drop down menu. Out of the options presented, a Creston option should be available. 





TEAMS Audio Settings
The settings interface launches immediately in TEAMS, which makes this process extremely convenient. 
You will find the Crestron option by selecting the audio output dropdown menu.
