IMPLEMENTATION

Respondus Monitor is a test proctoring system that uses the audio-visual capabilities of a student's desktop or laptop. (This does not work with the operating system of a phone.)

To implement Respondus, faculty first need to create a quiz/test/exam in Canvas.
It is recommended to select the NEW QUIZ format.

Respondus Monitor is an extension of the LockDown Browser and is accessed via a link in the navigational menu.

Adding LockDown Browser to a Quiz

  • Select the drop-down menu for the particular assessment that you want to lockdown.

  • This is the section for the Advanced Settings that is accessed by selecting the "+."  There are some useful options provided, and links Explain their function.

STEP 3: Save and Close

After setting your parameters, Save + Close the dialog window.
