🌐 Photo Requirements for Salve Identification

To ensure your ID photo meets Salve Regina University's standards, follow these guidelines:

  • Color: The photo must be in color.
  • Aspect Ratio: Use a 2 x 3 aspect ratio.
  • Recent: The photo should be taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance.
  • File Format: Save the photo as a JPEG file.
  • Resolution: If scanning, ensure the photo is 2” x 3” at 300 dpi (pixels/inch) resolution.
  • Background: Use a neutral, flat background. White or off-white backgrounds are ideal.
  • Full-Face View: Face the camera directly with a neutral facial expression and both eyes open.
  • Clothing: Wear everyday clothing. Uniforms are not allowed, except for religious clothing worn daily.
  • Head Coverings: Hats or head coverings that obscure the hair or hairline are not allowed unless worn daily for religious purposes. Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast shadows on your face.
  • Accessories: Headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or similar items are not acceptable.
  • Eyeglasses: Eyeglasses are not allowed in photos, except for medical reasons. If accepted:
    • Frames must not cover the eyes.
    • No glare or shadows on the eyeglasses.
  • Hearing Devices: If you normally wear a hearing device or similar articles, they may be worn in your photo.

Photos copied or digitally scanned from driver’s licenses or other official documents are not acceptable, nor are snapshots, magazine photos, low-quality vending machine photos, or full-length photographs.
