🛠️ Teacher Station Operation

Overview:

To begin, Press anywhere on the touch panel to Start up AV System.
The input selections appear on the the left-hand side of the screen.
Not all systems will provide the same options. If there are specialized requirements beyond the available options, please contact the TSC with the information below. 

A. INPUT SELECT : Select the audio-visual source to be displayed on the screen or monitor.

B. POWER BUTTON : POWER DOWN the system.

C. VIDEO MUTE : Turns bright blue when on. This function blacks-out the display so the presenter can setup/change-out media for presentations. 

D. VOLUME : Controls the audio levels for the selected media. 
Tap the plus (+) button to increase sound and the minus (-) button to decrease sound.
Tap the loudspeaker symbol with an X to mute the sound.

Using the Teacher Station:
 

1. After powering up the AV system from the touch screen
2. Wake the computer by shaking the mouse or tapping on a few keyboard keys.
   > If the computer does not wake up, check if the computer and monitor are on.
3. > The computer is located in the cabinet and labelled with a POWER button. (image A)
4. > The monitor has a button located under the light, on the right-side, bottom corner.  (image B)
5. After confirming the monitor and computer are powered up....
   > Select an input source from the left-hand side of the touch screen.
6. The system will start and the screen will lower automatically.
   > If the screen does not lower automatically, there is a manual switch located on the wall nearby. 

Input Options Selected on the Touch Screen:
 

TO USE PC:

1. On the touch screen, under Input Select tap Lectern PC.  
2. The PC may be configured to power on automatically, however, if it does not, push the power button on the bottom-right corner of the monitor. ​​​​

TO USE LAPTOP:

1. Locate and connect the HDMI cable to your computer. (An optional USB-C adapter should be securely attached.) 
2. On the touch screen, under the Input Select tap Laptop.

TO USE DVD:

1. Power on the Blu-Ray/DVD player which is located on a shelf inside the teaching lectern.
2. On the touch screen, under Input Select tap Blu-Ray.
3. The DVD menu should appear on the screen.
4. Load your disc.
   *** The player should have essential control buttons or the player, but there also may be a remote in the drawer of the lectern.
   *** The player may also be connected to the touch screen controller, which will also allow you to operate the functions for the disc player from there. 

TO USE DOCUMENT CAMERA:

1. Power on the Document Camera by pressing the green push button on the camera. (Refer to image below.) 
2. On the touch screen, under Input Select tap Document Camera.

TO USE AIR MEDIA:

AirMedia may require the installation of an application on your laptop.

1. On the touch screen, under Input Select tap AirMedia. 
2. Launch the AIRMEDIA APP on your device. In order to do this, open a browser on your laptop and==
3. Enter the IP address displayed on the AirMedia screen.
4. You will then be prompted to enter a code displayed on the screen.
