🛠️ Instructions

To begin tap the touch panel located near the desk at the entrance of the lobby. Enter the passcode "1947" and submit.

This will bring you to the "Press power button to turn on system..." page. Press the power button in the center to activate the TV monitor.

To route the computer image to the TV, first go to "Layouts" in the lower left. Press the "Single" button.

Then press the "Local Computer" input on the left. To route this to the TV, then select the "Window 1" box in the middle. If the PC screen does not appear on the TV, make sure the PC power is on behind the right side of the TV. Locate the wireless mouse and keyboard to use the PC. See the "Using a Laptop" section below if that is preferred.

If you return to the "Layouts" page, you will see two other display options available, "Dual" and "Quad". Dual allows you to display two input sources side by side. Quad allows you to display a matrix of four sources, although the use of these options may be limited.

In Dual and Quad mode, select an input on the left and then which window(s) you want to route it to. For example, you could route "Local Computer" to windows 1 and 4, while "Visix" is routed to windows 2 and 3. Route the sources as needed, depending on the event and what digital content is needed.

Cable TV and Virtual Computer

Contact the Technology Services Center at (401) 341-7777 or support@salve.edu to request assistance using the "Cable TV" and "Virtual Computer" options. We can go over how these can be used for different functions.

Using a Laptop

The laptop set up works separately from the Crestron system. Locate the LG remote control attached to the back of the TV on the lower right. Press the source button at the top right that of the remote looks like a small plug icon. Navigate to the HDMI 3 source. Plug the wireless HDMI transmitter into the HDMI port of your laptop. (You may need a USB-C adapter)  After a few seconds, your laptop image should display on the TV monitor.

This laptop source cannot be worked into the Dual and Quad matrices covered above. Turning the system off and on again via the Crestron panel will bring the TV input back to HDMI 1 for the sources already covered above.
