To begin, press the red power button in the upper left corner of the Panasonic remote control.
Press the "menu" button in the middle of the remote, and go to "sources".
On the TV you will see 3 sources to choose from. Room Computer (HDMI 1), Barco Clickshare (HDMI 4) and Laptop HDMI (HDMI 3).
ROOM COMPUTER
Use your Salve login credentials. If you do not see the login screen, make sure the PC is turned on in the cabinet below the right of the TV. The power button is prominently labeled.
The wireless keyboard, mouse, and PowerPoint clicker work with the Room Computer. make sure the individual "on" buttons are activated.
BARCO CLICKSHARE with a Windows Laptop
From the TV menu source page, navigate to the Barco Clickshare source (HDMI4). After a few seconds, the splash page will display.
Find the Clickshare adapter on the table and plug it into a USB-C port on your device.
After a few seconds, you will see a notification in the lower right of your device that says "CD Drive (D:) ClickShare". Click on it.
Double click on the follow up notification, which will bring you to the screen sharing options. Click on the window that you want to share on the TV screen.
When you are ready to stop sharing, click on the Clickshare icon at the bottom of your screen. Hover over the window you would like to stop sharing and click on the square, red stop icon. It may take 5-10 seconds for your screen to completely stop displaying on the TV.
When using Clickshare, the camera and microphone below the TV will connect to your laptop via the wireless adapter. Once you have opened your remote meeting, you can confirm that your audio and video are routing correctly in between Clickshare and your device.
The correct video setting is "Room Camera". The microphone and speaker should both be set to "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Room Speakerphone)".
BARCO CLICKSHARE with a Mac Laptop
From the TV menu source page, navigate to the Barco Clickshare source (HDMI4). After a few seconds, the splash page will display.
Find the Clickshare adapter on the table and plug it into a USB-C port on your device.
After a few seconds, an icon that looks like a CD labelled "ClickShare" will pop up on your screen. Double click on it.
The app will launch with a message that says "Great things happen when people click". Double click "ClickShare_for_MacOSX" to run the program.
The share options will pop up on your screen after a few seconds. Click on the window you want to share to the TV.
When using Clickshare, the camera and microphone below the TV will connect to your laptop via the wireless adapter. Once you have opened your remote meeting, you can confirm that your audio and video are routing correctly in between Clickshare and your device.
Your video camera setting should be set to "Room Camera".
Your speaker and microphone settings should be set to "Room Speakerphone".
CONNECTING YOUR LAPTOP VIA HDMI ONLY
If you prefer not to use Barco Clickshare, you can still use your laptop with the traditional HDMI connection. You will find the HDMI cable at the end of the table, in the cable cubby.
After plugging the HDMI cable into your device, use the Panasonic remote control seen at the beginning of this article to select the HDMI 3 source. The image from your laptop will display on the TV screen.
Please note that the camera and microphone for remote meetings cannot be used if connected via the HDMI cable only. Use the Clickshare adapter and above directions to connect your device to the remote technology.
💡 Troubleshooting & Tips
When using the Room Computer, make sure the wifi is connected. Click on the globe icon in the lower right corner, select SALVE-ADMIN, and "connect".
If you are sitting at the head of the table and the wireless keyboard and mouse are not functioning correctly, move closer to the TV to strengthen the wireless signal.
