💡 Troubleshooting & Tips

  • For students living in the new Shepard Avenue Residence Hall, If you need to register a gaming device, or a device that does not have a we browser, contact the Technology Services Center for assistance. Please have the MAC/Hardware address of the device ready, along with the make and model of the device.
  • Make sure your Salve username and password is correct - do not use the @salve.edu part of your username when logging into wi-fi.
  • Disable custom or static network settings - make sure the network settings on your
device are set for DHCP (sometimes labeled automatic), and there no statically assigned IP addresses or DNS servers.
  • Some devices (such as iOS/iPad OS) enable a feature called "Private Address" or "MAC Address Randomization".  These privacy related features can sometimes cause issues with connecting to a managed Wi-Fi network such as SALVE-COMMUNITY. These types of features can (and should) be disabled if you encounter issues.
  • Try giving your device a restart and performing the connection/registration process again after the restart completes.
