🛠️ Overview
Depending on the AI tool that you are using, an agent may have very different capabilities and functions.
A Copilot Agent is a customized AI assistant designed for a specific purpose. Users can create agents with specialized instructions, uploaded files, and trusted websites to provide focused assistance on a particular topic or task. Agents can also be directed to prioritize or avoid certain areas of knowledge, making their responses more relevant to the user's needs.
Examples:
-
An employee could create an IT Support Agent that uses university IT documentation and policies to answer technology-related questions, provide troubleshooting guidance, and direct users to appropriate resources.
-
An instructor could create a Classroom Assistant Agent that uses course materials, syllabi, assignment instructions, and lecture notes to answer student questions, explain course concepts, and help students locate relevant resources throughout the semester.
