This article provides step-by-step instructions for exporting and importing bookmarks (favorites) in the most commonly used web browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.

🌍 Google Chrome

Export Bookmarks

  1. Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu (top-right).
  2. Select Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.
  3. Click the three-dot menu in the blue bar (top-right of the Bookmark Manager).
  4. Select Export Bookmarks.
  5. Save the .html file to your computer.

Import Bookmarks

  1. Go to Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the blue bar again.
  3. Select Import Bookmarks.
  4. Choose the previously saved .html file.

🦊 Mozilla Firefox

Export Bookmarks

  1. Click the menu icon (three lines, top-right), then select Bookmarks.
  2. Choose Manage bookmarks (or press Ctrl+Shift+O).
  3. In the Library window, click Import and Backup.
  4. Select Export Bookmarks to HTML.
  5. Save the file to your computer.

Import Bookmarks

  1. Go to Import and Backup in the Library window.
  2. Select Import Bookmarks from HTML.
  3. Choose the .html file you previously saved.

Export Bookmarks

  1. Click the three-dot menu (top-right), then choose Favorites.
  2. Select the three-dot menu again in the Favorites bar.
