Cisco Webex Calling - How to Forward Phone Calls

  • This article instructs you on how to forward phone calls using Cisco Webex Calling.

🛠️ Instructions

If you're going to be away from your desk but don't want to miss an important call, you can forward your calls to another phone number.

 

Choose one of the following options:

 

Option 1: Cisco Webex Settings:

 

1. Login to https://user.webex.com/webappng/hub/welcome with your Salve email address and password.

2. Select Settings from the navigational window.

3. Click on the Calling tab.

4. Enable Call Forwarding.

Four options are now presented to you:

5. To forward all phone calls, select the first check box "Forward All Calls". Type in the phone number you wish to forward to. Make sure to include the full ten-digit number. For example 4011234567.

6. Optional Steps:

 

-Send to Voicemail - You can send all forward calls to voicemail by checking the box "Send to Voicemail". Please note, you must type in your four digit extension to send calls to your voicemail. If you wish to send it to another user's mailbox, you must type in their four digit extension. 

 

-Forward Calls During Busy line: Enable this check box to forward calls to another number when your primary extension is busy.

-Forward Calls When not Answered: This option allows you forward calls if your primary line is not answered within the number of rings specified under "Number of rings before forwarding".

-Forward Calls When network disconnected: This option forwards incoming calls to the number specified if the physical desk phone or webex app does not have network connectivity.

7. Press the Save button when complete.

 

Disable Call Forwarding:

 

To turn off Call Forwarding, click on the Call Forwarding toggle again. It will run grey indicating it has been turned off.

 

Option 2: Cisco Desk Phone

 

Cisco 8800 series phones (8811, 8841, 8845,8851)

 

1. Locate the Call Forward button on the display.

    

 

2. Select Forward All.

3. You will now see two options that need to be configured, Forward all and Forward all number.

4. Press the center navigation button  and set Forward all to On.

5. Under Forward all number, enter the ten-digit number you wish to forward to.

6. Click Set to save the configuration.

 

To disable Call Forwarding, repeat steps 1 through 4 above and set Forward All to Off.

Click Set to Save Configuration.

 

 

 

Cisco 7800 series phones (7811, 7841, 7821)

 

1. Locate the Call Forward button on the display.

   

 

2. Select Forward All.

3. You will now see two options that need to be configured, Forward all and Forward all number.

4. Press the center navigation button  and set Forward all to On.

5. Under Forward all number, enter the ten-digit number you wish to forward to.

6. Click Set to save the configuration.

 

To disable Call Forwarding, repeat steps 1 through 4 above and set Forward All to Off.

Click Set to Save Configuration.
