This guide provides detailed instructions for scanning documents using PaperCut. Students, Faculty, and Staff can authenticate at any PaperCut HP Printer with their ID badge. The guide covers various scanning workflows, including:

  • Scan to My Email: Sends the scanned document directly to the user's email.
  • Scan to Email: Allows the user to enter a recipient's email address.
  • Scan to OneDrive: Uploads the scanned document to the user's OneDrive account. The first scan requires authentication via an email from PaperCut.
  • Scan to eGoldFax: Sends the scanned document as a fax by entering a 10-digit number.

Users are instructed to place the document in the feeder or on the scan glass, select the scan icon, and adjust settings as needed before starting the scan.


1. Walk up to any PaperCut HP Printer and authenticate with your ID Badge

2. Select Scan Icon on Home Screen

 

3. You will be presented with the following workflows:

  • Scan to My Email – scans document directly to logged in users email
  • Scan to Email – allows for entering recipient email address
  • Scan to OneDrive – scans document into logged in user’s OneDrive account First scan performed with this workflow, user receives an email from PaperCut to authenticate.  Follow the instructions in the email to authenticate into your OneDrive account.
  • Scan to eGoldFax – sends fax through PaperCut by entering 10 digit number in fax field

 

4.    Place paper in document feeder or on scan glass and select the start button to initiate the scan.
                a.   Select change settings to edit scan settings prior to starting the scan job.

  • If you can't sign in with the tap of your ID  try signing in with your Salve email and password
  • If the issue persists, try turning the printer on and off (use switch above where you tap our card 
  • If the issue persists, contact the Technology Services Center.
