Overview
Remote access to the Salve's internal network is available by connecting your device to FortiClient VPN Client. NOTE: You must be granted permission to use remote VPN software which is only used when you are off campus or trying to access the Salve Network from the residence Halls(Resnet).
Check with the TSC staff for assistance setting up your computer so that it is configured correctly for remote access.
Installation and configuration steps
The FortiClient VPN configuration should automatically be applied to your machine.
In the event the configuration is missing, you can setup the configuration on your machine by following steps.

3. Save the connection.
4. Press the SAML Login button. You will be prompted for your Salve email address and password along with two-factor authentication to access Salve’s network.
Connection steps
- Search for and Launch the FortiClient VPN Client. On a PC you can locate the FortiClient VPN Client by clicking the search menu on the task bar and on a MAC click on the Spotlight icon in the upper right-hand corner (magnifying glass).
- If this is your first time launching Forticlient VPN, you will need to select the checkbox and accept the statement provided
- For the VPN Name, make sure SalveVPN is selected. Then press the SAML Login Button
- Sign in with your Salve credentials (email address and password) and complete the multi- factor authentication challenge.
- You should now be successfully connected to Salve with the FortiClient VPN Client. To disconnect choose the Disconnect button
