💻 Installed Software (Standard Builds)
The following software is included on University-provisioned devices by default. If you do not see one of these applications on your computer, it may be available through Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (macOS).
- Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote for communication, document creation, spreadsheets, presentations, and collaboration.
- Chrome: Web browser for general internet access.
- Firefox: Web browser for general internet access and compatibility testing.
- VLC: Media player that supports most video and audio formats.
- FortiClient: Secure VPN client for remote access to University systems.
- Webex: Video conferencing and collaboration platform.
- Zoom: Video conferencing and collaboration platform.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader: PDF viewer for reading, annotating, and printing PDFs.
- 7-Zip: File compression and extraction tool.
📦 Software Installed by Request
The following software is not preinstalled but can be added by request through the IT Support System. Departmental approval may be required for some packages.
- Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Includes Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, After Effects, Animate, and Bridge. Used for graphic design, video editing, publishing, and multimedia projects.
- Tableau & Tableau Reader: Data visualization tools used for creating dashboards and reports. Department chairs and graduate program directors typically need Tableau Reader; Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IRE) provides access and training.
- Citrix Workspace: Remote access tool for running University-provided virtual applications securely.
- JMP: Statistical software for data exploration, visualization, and analysis.
- Snag-It: Screen capture and recording tool for creating tutorials, documentation, or presentations.
- Synoptic: Specialized software (installed on request; details provided by department).
- Sprout Social: Social media management and analytics platform.
- SPSS Base Academic: Statistical package for analyzing data in social sciences, health, and education.
- ProSeries: Professional tax preparation software (by request).
- LaTeX: Document preparation system commonly used in mathematics, science, and research for producing technical and academic papers.
- R: Programming language used for statistical computing and data analysis.
- R Studio: Development environment for R that simplifies coding, visualization, and reporting.
- Staidia: Specialized software (use case determined by request; confirm details with department).

- Spring Semester: December 20
- Summer Sessions: May 15
