💻 Minimum Laptop Specifications

To ensure your device can support your coursework throughout your time at Salve Regina, we recommend the following minimum specifications. Choosing a laptop with higher specs is always welcome and may offer additional performance and longevity.

Apple Laptops

  • A recent MacBook Air or MacBook Pro with at least 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
  • Apple offers education pricing for students, families, faculty, and staff.
  • Consider AppleCare+ for extended protection against damage and repair costs.

Windows Laptops

  • At least a 14-inch display, Intel i5 (or equivalent) processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD storage.
  • Business-class models are recommended for better durability.
  • Most manufacturers provide educational discounts and optional accidental damage coverage.
