How to install Solver Add-in for excel

🛠️ Instructions

  1. Open Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click File in the top-left corner of the window.
  3. Select Get Add-ins (or Office Add-ins).
  4. In the Office Add-ins window, click inside the search bar located in the top-left corner.
  5. Type Solver and press Enter.
  6. Locate the Solver add-in in the search results (it should appear at the top).
  7. Click Add next to the Solver add-in to install and enable it in Excel.

💡 Troubleshooting & Tips

  • Issue: Solver doesn’t appear after adding it.
    ✅ Try restarting Excel, then check under Data > Analysis group to confirm it’s enabled.
  • If the issue persists, contact the Technology Services Center for assistance.
