OVERVIEW ::: The current LTI configuration for SimCapture requires adding the APP for each course. Hence, the ClientID for LTI is a task for the admin. After that point, the faculty can connect a course through adding a module. This process is documented in SimCapture help files: https://help.simcapture.com/integrations/data-transfer-between-your-lms-and-simcapture
It should also be mention that the information provided through linking a SimCapture course through Canvas is limited to the following information:
LMS to SimCapture
The Course Title and Participants will be sent from the LMS, updating SimCapture immediately after the initial sync. Any changes to the Course Title or Participants should be made within the LMS and will reflect in SimCapture after the automatic nightly sync. You can apply these changes immediately by running a manual sync from the SimCapture Course page.
If you are not using SSO, participants must exist in both SimCapture and the LMS to be applied to the linked courses.
SimCapture to LMS
Individual scores for any completed evaluations will transfer from SimCapture to your LMS. If you link an LMS course to an existing SimCapture course with completed evaluations, those scores will appear in your LMS upon initial linking. New scores completed in SimCapture will show in your LMS after the automatic nightly sync. You can also run a manual sync from the SimCapture Course page for immediate updates.
Currently, we will send the Evaluation Title, Scenario Title, and individual scores (e.g., 8/10 or 80%). Only raw data for individual scores is sent; overall course scores and other evaluation details (questions, answers, hints, categories, etc.) will not be included.
