Audio-Visual Content

For Audio-Visual content, accessibility is achieved by offering as many sensory alternatives as possible. Captions and transcripts are prevalent options, particularly with more popular applications like Zoom, YouTube and Canvas Studio offer one-click solutions. 

Closed-Caption is designated by "CC" and can be located in the setting bar which is usually located at the bottom of the screen.

Canvas Studio

PowerPoint

Select the SLIDE SHOW option in the menu bar and look for the SUBTITLE SETTINGS option. 
The SUBTITLE SETTINGS dropdown into an options menu which includes:

  • Spoken LanguageSubtitle Language
  • Microphone
  • and subtitle orientation
     

Zoom

"CC" may appear in the SETTINGS BAR, but if it does not appear immediately in the bar, you may need to select the MORE button.
Once selected, the caption will appear.
 


YouTube

In YouTube, the "CC" appears in the SETTINGS BAR.
