Photo Requirements for Salve IDs

• This article provides photo submission requirements for Salve Regina University ID cards to ensure your image is accepted and looks professional.

🛠️ Instructions

1. Submit a color photo with a 2x3 aspect ratio taken within the last 6 months.
2. Image must be in JPEG format. If scanning, ensure 2"x3" at 300 dpi resolution.
3. Photo must be:
   • Taken in front of a neutral, flat background (white or off-white preferred).
   • In full-face view, directly facing the camera.
   • With a neutral expression and both eyes open.
4. Clothing should be typical of daily wear. Uniforms are not permitted (except for daily religious attire).
5. Do not wear hats or head coverings unless for religious reasons. Full face must be visible with no shadows cast.
6. Eyeglasses are discouraged. If medically necessary:
   • Frames must not obscure the eyes.
   • No glare, shadow, or reflections that obstruct the eyes.
7. Headphones, wireless devices, or similar items are not allowed.
8. Hearing devices may be worn if normally used.
9. Photos from IDs, magazines, or low-quality sources will be rejected.
10. Image acceptance is at the discretion of Salve Regina’s Card Office.

💡 Troubleshooting & Tips

• Issue: Image rejected due to background or lighting — try retaking the photo with a white wall and natural lighting.
• Issue: File size too small — scan or save the image at 300 dpi minimum.
